Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in primary care and have the ability to provide high-quality patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for delivering a wide range of medical services, including routine check-ups, diagnostic evaluations, and disease prevention. Duties

– Provide primary care services to patients, including conducting routine check-ups, taking medical histories, and performing physical exams.- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, such as respiratory infections, skin conditions, and mental health issues.- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms.- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, therapies, and lifestyle changes.- Perform catheter care and catheterization as necessary.- Provide urgent care services, including handling emergency situations and developing treatment plans accordingly.- Conduct occupational health evaluations, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and fitness-for-duty assessments.- Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation law and other relevant regulations.- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting patient interactions, test results, and treatment plans.- Utilize electronic health records (Epic) to document patient information and manage patient care.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, best practices, and industry developments to maintain a high level of expertise in primary care.

Skills

– Strong knowledge of primary care principles and practices.- Experience in occupational health and workers’ compensation law.- Proficiency in specimen collection and processing.- Ability to perform aseptic technique and catheter care.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Familiarity with electronic health records (Epic).- Experience with coding and Athenahealth.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.- Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of [insert state].

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $139,374.00 – $146,497.00 per year
